    An overall evaluation is conducted of an applicant’s competency, values, and growth potential.

Recruitment of New Employees

Public recruitment of interns is carried out biannually, from May to August in the first half, and from October to December in the second half. The basic recruitment schedule and announcement are jointly prepared by LOTTE GROUP. However, interviews and final selections are done by individual affiliates.

Recruitment of Experienced Employees

Recruitment of experienced employees is carried out on a non-regular basis according to the employment demand by departments. Prospective candidates have in-depth interviews regarding their job experience and performed projects, through which their job expertise is evaluated and overall reviews are conducted of the compatibility of their values and work ethic with those sought by LOTTE CHEMICAL.

Recruitment of Interns

Public recruitment of interns is carried out biannually, from May to August in the first half, and from October to December in the second half on a regular basis. The basic recruitment schedule and announcement are jointly prepared by LOTTE GROUP. However, interviews and final selections are done by individual affiliates. Applicants can search the jobs suited to their personalities and aptitudes through training programs for interns and practical OJT. Applicants’ willingness to take on challenges, competency, and team spirit can be tested through real business situations, and applicants can set up their own competency models suitable for the business.

Recruitment of New Technical Employees (Hiring vocational trainees)

To increase the competency of new technical employees, we recruit vocational trainees and train them through a 3-month camp training process before making the final selection. The vocational trainees learn the basic knowledge of chemical engineering, process theory, and petrochemical production process for 2 months, and complete field practice-centered courses through a 1 month field training session. The final decision on hiring is determined according to an overall review of the trainees’ performance after completion of the training provided by the vocational training school.

Industry-Academia Scholarship Students(R&D field)

Recruiting industry-academia scholarship students is a recruitment method linking industry and academia by which outstanding university students are selected to build expertise in R&D and expand the scope of research. Through the review of the applicants’ presentations on their majors, LOTTE CHEMICAL makes an overall judgment on their compatibility with our research fields along with their competitiveness, and provides positive support to the selected students by granting them the prescribed scholarships so that they can carry out stable and continuous research and development activities. Joining the company is finalized after they have earned their respective degrees(MA, Doctorate).
